My kids, 11 and 14, were introduced to cursive writing in 3rd or 4th grade, but as there was never any followup practice, neither of them were comfortable with it. I am having them watch this course & complete the worksheet as a “summer school” project. They are finding the worksheet very easy to follow, and while they are not engrossed in the videos, they do watch some portions for help with tricky connections. They are about 3/4 of the way through, and once they finish, I intende to make up some additional exercises on the practice lines to give them a little more reinforcement. I doubt cursive will ever be their go-to style in the way it is for us who were required to turn in every assignment in cursive by the time we were in 5th grade, but if nothing else, they will hopefully be able to read it fluently once they are done.
